Life Update + Our Wedding Photos
Hi Friends! It's been such a long time since I last posted on here. It's been a crazy busy second half of third year medical school, and is now wrapping up. It's crazy to think that only a few board exams stand in the way between me and my fourth and final year in medical school. It's been such a whirlwind of a journey and I'm so thankful for you all who have followed along!
Now for a little update :) As many of you know, my [now] husband and I got married in January. Since then, I had to go back on rotations so we were living apart for a few months. Finally early in May I moved back home to Florida which is super exciting! I'll be studying for my board exams here and then kicking off fourth year. In terms of rotations I've done since getting married, I was in: geriatrics, orthopedic surgery, ob/gyn, emergency medicine, and now I'm in the NICU again. I also think I've finally decided what specialty I would like to go into, but I will save that news for later on in the fourth year! For now, I just want to focus on kicking butt on boards and doing well on my upcoming away rotations.
In other news, I've also been thinking about how active I will be on my blog during my final year in medical school. With that said, I think it would be best to take somewhat of a longer break and stay more active in posting on my IG. It's been difficult keeping up with both a blog and Instagram to be honest. But as you all know, family and school come first! AND I promise to keep you all updated as best as I can throughout the last year of med school. Something else I've been really enjoying is posting more creative content on Instagram because I'm able to tap into that side a little bit more, and is so good for the soul. Sometimes medicine can get overwhelming, whether you're working or studying - so I really believe in finding an outlet and doing things outside of medicine to reset and refocus.
Anyway, I feel like at this point I'm just rambling BUT I really do hope you guys have been enjoying the more creative content I've had on my more recent blog post and Instagram posts lately!
